O ct 1 99 7 Domain Growth in a Multivariable non Potential System
نویسنده
چکیده
We present a study of dynamical scaling and domain growth in a non potential system that models Rayleigh–Bénard convection in a rotating cell. In d = 1, dy-namical scaling holds, but the non potential terms modify the characteristic growth law with a crossover from logarithmic to linear in time. In d = 2 the non potential terms prevent coarsening for any value of the angular rotation speed.

Quantitative Non-diagonal Regulator Design for Uncertain Multivariable System with Hard Time-domain Constraints
In this paper a non-diagonal regulator, based on the QFT method, is synthesized for an uncertain MIMO plant whose output and control signals are subjected to hard time-domain constraints. This procedure includes the design of a non-diagonal pre-controller based on a new simple approach, followed by the sequential design of a diagonal QFT controller. We present a new formulation for the latter s...

Transforming growth factor beta (TGFβ1, β2, and β3) are 25 kDa disulfide-linked homodimers that regulate many aspects of cellular functions, consist of proliferation, differentiation, adhesion and extracellular matrix formation. TGFβs mediate their biological activities by binding of growth factor ligand to two related, functionally distinct, single-pass transmembrane receptor kinases, known as...

I review explanations for the three neutrino anomalies (solar, atmospheric and LSND) which go beyond the “conventional” neutrino oscillations induced by mass-mixing. Several of these require non-zero neutrino masses as well.
